We had several chances, which we didn’t take. We must be more ruthless.“Still, I’m happy. We’ve put together a run of games with quality. We’re constantly seeking confirmation.“We always know what to do and we have more options now. Over the years we’ve reduced the gap with the big sides.“We also want to do that in the Champions League.” last_img read more

FSU Fan Rips Florida, Treon Harris After Gators Fan Throws Beer Cans At Her Car

first_imgFlorida State Trolls Florida Beer Cans Treon Harris.Florida State Trolls Florida Beer Cans Treon HarrisThe Florida vs. Florida State rivalry is alive and well, folks. Well, at least it is in one neighborhood.A Seminoles fan who goes by @Noles_AJ posted a number of tweets and photos Thursday afternoon, explaining how after attending the Atlanta Braves game Wednesday night, a Florida supporter gator-chomped at her, cut her off and threw beer cans at her car as they were trying to leave the stadium. She claims it was because she had a Florida State license plate. In response, she is returning the beer cans, which are now wrapped in Florida State photos, along with a handwritten note that makes fun of Florida fans, Treon Harris’ arm, and the fact that the Gators lost last year’s game. She apparently knows where the culprit lives.Last night after the Braves game, this UF car started gator chomping at us- cut us off & then threw beer cans at us. All bc of a FSU plate.— Ali (@Noles_AJ) May 21, 2015I don’t think the guy knows that we live in the same neighborhood. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯— Ali (@Noles_AJ) May 21, 2015Surprise!! You’re getting your beer cans back! pic.twitter.com/DlL1FaLmfo— Ali (@Noles_AJ) May 21, 2015And a nice little note too. pic.twitter.com/D5PFyOejhj— Ali (@Noles_AJ) May 21, 2015The Seminoles and Gators renew their rivalry on November 28. Let’s hope these two aren’t anywhere near each other at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.last_img read more

Obviously. The redshirt junior led the Buckeyes to a national championship last January and, of course, wants to play this fall. So it really shouldn’t come as that much of a surprise when we tell you that Jones retweeted a tweet wanting retweets to support the idea of Jones as the Buckeyes’ starting quarterback. It is a very Cardale move, though.  Cardale Jones Retweet@CJ12_Here’s the actual tweet.Retweet if you want Cardale Jones to be your #OhioState #Buckeyes starting QB pic.twitter.com/V0ryYgUQ3Z— The Buckeye Nut (@TheBuckeyeNut) August 4, 2015Never change, Cardale. CR7-less Real a warning to Barca life after Messi

first_imgReal Madrid’s form after Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure is a “warning” to Barcelona when it comes to Lionel Messi, according to former Blaugrana player Jordi Cruyff.Ronaldo, 33, made a surprise move from Madrid to Juventus for a reported €100million in July after spending nine seasons with the LaLiga giants.Madrid initially struggled to cope with Ronaldo’s absence and are eight points adrift of league leaders and rivals Barca – although they hold a game in hand. Messi is contracted at Barca until 2021, but the club’s former midfielder Cruyff urged them to learn from Madrid’s mistakes.”What happened to Madrid is a warning for Barca,” the Chongqing Dangdai Lifan coach told Sport.”Madrid players are still great, but in football you need that player who even losing 2-0 you think you can win. Now, there is no umbrella.”Ronaldo has scored 12 goals and set up seven for new club Juventus as they lead the Serie A by eight points from Napoli. The Old Lady have also qualified for the Champions League knockouts and will face Atletico Madrid in the round-of-16.last_img read more

Report: Benin 0 Guinea-Bissau 0

first_imgBenin and Guinea-Bissau played out Saturday’s third consecutive 0-0 draw at the Africa Cup of Nations to leave qualification from Group F up in the air. After their entertaining opening encounter with Ghana finished 2-2, Benin had the most to rue from a dour match because they must still play defending champions Cameroon. The best chances in each half fell to their striker Steve Mounie, who was unable to capitalise despite turning in a tireless performance. Ox-rated! Dream night in Genk for Liverpool ace after injury nightmare Cameroon – the Indomitable Lions – remain top of the section on four points having won 2-0 in their initial contest against Guinea-Bissau, who against Benin offered little in pursuit of a maiden AFCON win at Ismailia Stadium.Ismailia stadium is ON FIRE! #GHABEN #TotalAFCON2019 pic.twitter.com/YBtgMG1zlO— CAF (@CAF_Online) June 29, 2019Cameroon and Ghana’s earlier stalemate left the door ajar for both group outsiders to progress, possibly contributing to a cagey opening.A superb throughball from Benin midfielder Jordan Adeoti sent Mounie charging towards goal in the 37th minute, when the Huddersfield Town player forced Jonas Mendes to save sharply down to his left.In a development that scarcely felt possible, the quality of creative play from each team diminished after the break and clear openings remained at a premium.Mounie cut the ball across the six-yard box in the 66th minute but none of his team-mates were on hand to convert.Benin’s number nine slammed his hands against the crossbar in frustration when he headed over unmarked from Stephane Sessegnon’s floated free-kick and there would be no way through.last_img read more

The five-star freshman will be starting on Saturday against Syracuse.Bryant, a senior, understandably took the news pretty hard. Swinney told reporters today that he gave the quarterback the day off.Transfer rumors began to swirl for Bryant, as the new redshirt rule would allow him to keep a year of eligibility and play somewhere else in 2019 since he’s only played in four games.Swinney, though, says he does not expect Bryant to transfer.“Dabo says Kelly Bryant did not indicate yesterday that he would want to transfer. He says it was a really emotional day and gave Kelly the day off from practice,” Grace Raynor tweeted.Dabo says Kelly Bryant did not indicate yesterday that he would want to transfer.
